Re: [emrat:8442] Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake & Palmer Dead at 71 of Suspected Suicide

Wow.  Sad news indeed.  I credit ELP for helping introduce me to classical music.  They did a fabulous rendition of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition".  I saw the Colorado Symphony do it in late January and I kept thinking then how much I owed ELP.  One of the few great 70s bands I (regretfully) never got to see live.  If you ever get a chance to see their live DVD from somewhere around 1974 you won't be disappointed.  A bit excessive but captures them in their heyday.

Not to make light of his death (I loved ELPs Brain Salad Surgery) but if I had a bike with Whitworth fasteners I might consider that life was tougher than necessary. RIP Keith.
