So that means your going, right? :)--

--Just to be clear about Kansas, there will be much more awaiting you than just ten turns, as Steve Harriman postulates.
You will be constantly swerving to:
· Avoid the fall prairie dog migration,
· Avoid tumbleweeds,
· Pass 10 mph tractors pulling plows and discs,
· Pass elderly locals driving pickup trucks at 35 mph who also do not signal when they suddenly make a turn,
· Miss barking farm dogs that chase you,
· Avoid riding behand a semi-trailer truck hauling cattle or pigs and leaking smelly, slippery, disgusting green stuff onto the highway in front of you,
· Avoid the occasional deer/antelope, and
· React when you crest a hill and encounter two teenage boys drag racing towards you at 120 mph in a Mustang and a Camaro.
Not to unduly frighten anyone, don't forget the final scene in "Easy Rider." Treat the locals with the utmost respect. You will be in Second Amendment Country . . .
Other than the factors that I've listed, I'm sure the ride will be utterly boring and uneventful, but it will probably square off your rear tire. Unless the wind is blowing at 40 mph out of the south, of course.

HeyCapt. Bob,
I will not be able to to attend on the new weekend since my son is coming home on leave from his deployment (USMC). Damn! I was looking forward to the 10 turns on the route to KS.

Right now we can't commit to the ride as we're closing on a house in Montrose in early Oct. I will let you know if we can make it when I know more.

Chris,
Why not. We could visit the Museum and then take HWY 36 back to Denver.

Bob / Denise - what do you guys think about going to the St Francis Motorcycle Museum on our way back on Sunday? Looks like it is about 2 hours from Garden City and they are open on Sunday.

Re: [emrat:9040] Fall Overnight 2016 – Return To The High Plains
I will not be riding for some time, Chris!
Since Capt. Bob and Denise will be leading this ride, everyone will be of good hands. They are native Nebraskans, just for the record!
