Hello Federal Budget Clearinghouse groups,
We have finalized the language for our paid ad urging the Colorado delegation to vote no on any budget that would move Colorado backwards. We are placing half page (or full page) ads in the Denver Post, Durango Herald and Aurora Sentinel. The plan is to have the Post and Herald advertisements in those papers on Monday, September 4th. The Aurora Sentinel is a weekly so the ad will appear on Thursday, September 7th. Because these dates are fast approaching, we have a small window to get lots of groups to sign on. Please sign up your group by COB Friday, August 25.
Read the advertisement here and add your organization's name to the growing list!
Our goal is to include over 100 organizations in the ad. And we need your help. After filling out the sign on form, can you ask at least 4 other groups to sign on to this letter?
A long list of organizational names demonstrates that our Colorado communities are unified. When we act together, we build the strongest resistance to cuts. We know that no one cut to the budget will affect every Coloradan, but every Coloradan needs to know that cuts to the budget will hurt their community.
Please feel free to share with your coalitions, board members, or other groups that you think would sign on.
Here is a draft of an email that you can use to reach out to other groups. We have also made the sign on form available in the FBC Google Drive, under the August Recess Activities Folder.
