Could take 285 to 126 South to 67 Woodland Park to 24

I just got back from vacation and did that route today - it is excellent, great fall colors, and traffic was not too bad during late  morning / early afternoon. The coffee shop in Dekers @ the intersection of 126/67 is a good stop for food  / coffee / restrooms. Best to fuel up before starting the route, and if necessary, refill in Woodland Park (there's a Conoco just off 67/24)

I'm riding in The Emily ride  though, so I won't be able to join up with you guys for a ride. Have fun!

The Emily Ride does not leave until about 11:45, so I think we could still be good for 285. Could take 285 to 126 South to 67 Woodland Park to 24, either up Tarryall Rd 77 (rough pavement), back on 285 North or just up 285 where 24 meets close to Buena Vista. Say 9:30 ish? Meet around 285 and Santa Fe area?

I'm up for a ride on Sunday.  Heading south would be good idea and usually
has less traffic on a Sunday.

I returned from the Sand Dunes a week ago over La Veta Pass, and near the
top of the pass took a short cut on the Creek Pass Road (gravel, CR28 and
572)  that ended near Gardner, then continued north to Florence.  From there
Hiway 67 north led to the Phantom Canyon Road (quite beautiful, but gravel
for 20+ miles), then Victor, Woodlawn Park, Deckers, and finally back on 285
to Denver.  A fantastic ride all the way with very little traffic on 67 most
of the way.

This route would be a bit long for a Sunday ride, but the back route from
Woodlawn Park to 285 (Pine Junction) usually has low traffic, even on a
weekend.

Let me know when and where the ride will start and I will likely be there.

Jay

Depending on the time we are meeting, I might be interested.
