Re: [emrat:4598] AMA Action Alert: Help End Federally Funded Motorcycle-only Checkpoints

It is a great deal if you already plan to be a member.  I have the “champion” membership through the auto-renewal.  However, do keep in mind that it only covers up to 35 miles towing, while AAA and others  such as Better World Club, Good Sam, Allstate and others cover up to 100 or more.

I only have the Champion as a secondary policy, because Auto-renewal is easier, but I also have a primary policy.

The BMWOA covers 100 miles if you add the Platinum Cycle Towing option at $26 a year to your membership as well.

I only bring this up, because I learned the hard way,  from first hand experience, that the match can go pear shaped if you need a tow of more than 35 miles :)

Yep. And if you join with automatic renewal, "champion" membership, you get free roadside assistance. I did the math, it was a better deal than getting thru AAA or other insurance.
