RE: [emrat:4790] It's Time Again . . .

And I'm addicted also to the IOMTT as is English Steve.  Motorcycle racing at its purest—and most dangerous.

I'm still on Vashon Island, returning to Denver Sunday night.  And hoping that my remote instructions to COMCAST will result in the IOMTT Series being recorded on the DVR!  I'm not sure if I can watch the broadcast tonight live via the Internet on Comcast or not . . . . but I'll check that out today.

On the ferry yesterday to West Seattle, I met a Triumph rider named Andy who was on a Thruxton from the Island.  He also has a Trophy 1200 from about 2003, I think.  Plus a BMW RT.  He would fit right in with our group, correct?

I found out yesterday that, three weeks ago, a rider from Seattle was killed by a pickup truck on the Island.  He apparently stopped on Vashon Highway to either turn into a winery or just turn around when he was hit from behind by the pickup truck.  A pox on distracted drivers!

I'm trying to ride the Curtis Graves '01 Sprint RS most every day.  It takes about an hour to get in a good ride around the island.  And sometimes I even hit 50 mph!  That's the top legal speed limit on the main north-south road, the Vashon Highway—for about a mile.

As usual, no one knows anything about the date of the annual Isle of Vashon TT.  One would think the NSA was in charge of this secret.  Perhaps not after Edward Snowden, however.  If it's the Saturday after Labor Day Weekend, then I can attend.  Otherwise, I'll miss it.  I've only been on the Island once in five years when it was held.

His real name is John McGuinness.Trying to fit that last name on the back of your leathers is impossible,so a pint of Guinness is used instead!

For the Isle of Mann TT!  Check the Velocity channel (663) on Comcast for the broadcast schedule.  The first show is this Saturday, 8 pm  MDT, I think.  I've set my DVR to record all of the episodes.
