Hi Mark,
No I did not replace my Rocket, I still have her. However she hasn't been getting as much love since I got my K1300s. I don't know how these guys with a garage full of bikes does it. You can only ride one motorcycle at a time so choosing which one to ride is exhausting 😵 could you imagine the craziness if you had multiple wives - what a nightmare 😁

TKAnyone up for a moderately long (~200 mile) ride this Sunday? Weather looks to be good and I've got an itch to put some miles on.I'm thinking of a route that goes through Sedalia and Castle Rock, then through Elizabeth and Kiowa, then North to Bennett, all the way up to Wiggins, then West towards Loveland and finishing at Johnsons Corner near Johnstown.I'd like to go kickstands-up by about 9:30 and we. Let's meet at the Conoco at Morrison right off of Morrison Road and C-470, that should allow those of you who want to eat breakfast at the Blue Cow to do so (I generally prefer to eat a lighter breakfast and have a bigger lunch at the end of the ride.) For those who don't want to do the full 200 miles, there are plenty of opportunities to jump off when it suits you. If we leave at 9:30 we should be at Johnsons Corner by 2:00 pm or so (approximately 4 1/2 hours of riding, not counting time for stops.)If we start with full tanks we shouldn't have any issues with range. First fuel stop would be planned for Bennett, approximately 90 miles into the ride. Second (and last) fuel stop would be at Johnsons Corner, 105 miles from Bennett. There are numerous other gas stations along the route as well if we need to stop. One Caution: I have not ridden this complete route. The Kiowa/Bennett road used to have some long stretches of dirt. I just looked at it on Google Earth and both overhead and Street View seem to indicate that it is now paved the entire way from Kiowa to Bennett. If that is not the case or if there is snow/ice on the roads (there shouldn't be as it will be nearly 60 today and tomorrow) we'll have to adjust the route and the time a bit. If, for whatever reason, the Kiowa-Bennett road is not available, we would probably continue East to intersect with I-70 just West of Limon and then turn Northwest towards Deer Trail, jumping off the interstate at Deer Trail and taking CO 40 (old Route 40) and CO 36/Route 36 through Strasburg and Bennett. You can respond to this email or text me at 303-482-7848.Martin
