So I have two nights booked for June 3rd and 4th in the Bridge Bay Campground as of right now. The reservations are easy to cancel though, so I can move it around as our trip planning gets closer to departure. I am expecting some cold at night, but I am ok with that.

Hey Tavis,Here is the Yellowstone site for camping and lodges. As far as packing, pack light and pack small. Backpack type tents work far better than car ones, camping stove, packable sleeping bag and self inflating pad, compact camp chair.
Sent from my iPhone--Travis; my family and I went to Yellowstone in early June, 1994. It was generally good weather, however we did get snow and freezing temps one night, so be prepared. As far as camping goes, most of the drive-in campgrounds are hardside campers only, no tents (bears, ya know!). We stayed in one of the cabins adjacent to the East Yellowstone Lodge. These were fairly primitive at the time, with no heat or cooking available. My wife recalls that it did have a toilet and shower. We cooked our meals at picnic grounds on our Coleman stove. You can't see the entire park in one day; even in early June there is very heavy visitation and you usually have to wait for parking at the various sites. Of course being on a bike may tend to relieve this situation somewhat.Remember this info is 20 years old. Wayne E.

Charlie and I are planning a trip to yellowstone around the first week of June. I wanted to know all your guys thoughts on campgrounds and the like. We plan on taking a few days to get there and spending at least a day in the park before heading off.I know they are starting to fill up reservations, and so I would like to book something soon. Also any recommendations on camping gear are welcome as this will be my first attempt at camping on the bike.--
