No Reserve: 5k-Mile 2009 BMW R1200 RT-P for Charity

This 2009 BMW R1200 RT-P was sold new at Long Beach BMW and subsequently used in parades. RT-P models came from the factory with flashing lights, a siren, protection bars, a rear cargo container, and other features intended for law enforcement use. The odometer now shows just over 5k miles, and power is provided by a 1,170cc boxer-twin mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The previous owner acquired the motorcycle three years ago and recently donated it to the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation, a non-profit charity devoted to supporting CHP employees and their families. This R1200 RT-P is now offered by the seller on behalf of the 11-99 Foundation with a build sheet and a clean California title. The entire winning bid amount from this auction, along with the BaT buyer's fee, will go to the charity.

Stainless steel protection bars are mounted outboard of the front fairings and ahead of the panniers.

The CHP 11-99 Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization devoted to supporting CHP employees and their families in times of need. The foundation raises funds to provide CHP families with emergency assistance during disasters or hardship, on- and off-duty death benefits, and academic & vocational scholarships for children of CHP employees.
