Well, Norm, I do appreciate that you are looking out for my collecting passion.

 

I should point out, however, that my naked-bike niche is already occupied with a 2001 955 Speed Triple and  2007 1050 Speed Triple.  By the way, such bikes are touring bikes . . .

 

Just toss on a Cortech sport tri-bag system and tie on some more gear so that you look like Jed Clampet headed for Beverly Hills.

 

 

Take Ibuprofen at 8 am, 12 noon and 4 pm, plus drink three Red Bulls--and you'll have a great ride!

 

That was my formula for my ride to MotoGP at Laguna Seca in 2007, 16 days and 4,600 miles. . . . on my 2001 Speed Triple.

BTW  Motorrado currently has a great 2015 Street Triple R for $6995.  Of all the bikes I have owned, that is the one that produces the biggest grin when I ride it.  But, it is not a touring bike, just assume fun when in the twisties or when you just twist the throttle.  Dan you need one of those!
