E-Steve, I'm sorry to hear this news.
I read most of his book, "Ghost Rider," and was especially taken by his description of riding to Alaska, the Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territory on his BMW GS. I recall that he took off on this journey after his daughter, who was about to enter college, was killed in a car crash and then within a year his wife died of cancer.
One can really identify with his decision to heal his heart and soul by embarking on an epic, solo motorcycle journey. He rode the Dempster Highway to Inuvik.
His book certainly helped stoke my fires for more motorcycle adventures.

Everyone
Learnt early this afternoon that Neal Peart, drummer, author and big time motorcycle enthusiast, passed from brain cancer this past Tuesday.
To millions,he was best known as the drummer from the Canadian rock band,RUSH.A few of us,me included,he is known as the author of five books, including "Ghost Rider",about his travels by motorcycle after the death of his first wife. You see,Neal did not use air travel or tour bus, mostly,to get to the next show.He just saddled up and rode!!!!!
RIP,67 is well too soon to leave, you will be missed deeply.....
