Re: [emrat:6167] Scrambler Battle

I believe Triumph has done the work especially in regard to the new Tiger in 2015. They have listened to their customers and the additional upgrades places it right there with the competition I believe.

As good of a motorcycle the Tiger is these enhancements will only make it better. In 32K+ miles in 19 months on my 2013 Tiger‎ the only issue I had were my fork seals going out at 31K...Triumph didn't even flinch and covered the replacement under warranty!!! Pretty good considering it's a wear item. I probably should have put in a claim for chain/sprockets and tires...hahaha

I won't be upgrading to the new Tiger this year but I am very interested in taking one out for a demo ride. The interest is very high and it appears Triumph will sell a good number of them.

I saw your link also has a link to CW's Top 10 for 2014, 3 BMWs, 3 KTMS, and one each, Duc, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Indian.  Looks like Harley, Honda and Triumph have some work to do.

There have been "spy shots" of a retro Triumph, water cooled, with a 1000cc or higher engine.  But the name trade marked by Triumph appears to be "Street Tracker"

I am sure the "spy shots" are still a work in progress.  It will be interesting to see how it shapes up.

A Comparo to Triumph's looms in the future?

Comments to the article hint at major changes to the "Bonnie" line in 2016.  We'll have to ask John about that.

I want a Bonneville with the Street Triple engine and a 4.5 gallon gas tank, then we can go somewhere!
