I believe it's Erico Motorsports Riders Association of Triumph...Not Erico Motorrad. Correct me if I'm mistaken... :-)

Great to add another engineer to the group, especially one on a Boxer-Beemer. Loved the tool Ryan, simple but effective. As for making meetings, put it on your calendar and just make it a priority. A couple of hours on a Tuesday night is a good ay t pace out the week.

Hey Everyone,
A while ago I introduced myself as the guy with the Suzuki, but now that I have a BMW I figure I can officially be in the Triumph club! Now I just need to find some time to come to a meeting...
This fall I bought a BMW R1100S, and man, what a bike. I always do a full fluid change and tuneup on any used vehicle I buy, and one of the frustrations I had was the ridiculous placement of the transmission drain plug. So, I did what any self-respecting mechanical engineer would do and designed and built my own: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-r1100s-r1200s-tech-forum/831132-custom-transmission-drain-plug-tool.html
Happily, Beemer Boneyard liked my design and picked some up for sale on their site: http://www.beemerboneyard.com/r11sr12ctool.html
Ok, so on to the point: I enjoy these little types of projects and have access to a pretty amazing machine shop (not mine, but friends with a machinist), so if you have some other little problem you've been wrestling with let me know and let's see if we can work out a solution. Up next on my personal project list is figuring out a way to mount some nice LED running lights to my lower fork somewhere.
Happy trails.
Thanks,
Ryan
