[emrat:6596] Re: April Meeting, Lads & Lassies

Irish kilts that currently exist are based upon districts, or the County for the Tartan colors, but not clan family names like Scotland. Example of my Irish clans county tartan attached. County Clare. My clan is the Clancy Clan. My Scottish clan is Murdoch, long died out as a recognized clan, but fought with Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn. I am also connected to the MacPherson and MacDonald clan.

Just a heads up for those that did not know this, and those that own Kilts or any Tartan plaid. National Tartan Day is the 6th of April every year and our meeting is the day after. Just an FYI if anyone wants to don the Kilt in honor for the TRAT meeting on the 7th.
