Good to know. I've always staggered here thinking it was not OK in CO. I now recall I was confusing AZ with CA. CA I did ride side by side in one lane. Unless it has changed now. Back then CA did not require helmets, but now do, so I don to know if the side by side in a lane is the same today.

Not sure however the consequences of a class a traffic infraction.

When I lived in Santa Barbara and LA I used to lane split all the time on the 405, 5 and 101. Occasionally on the 1. Very common when traffic is at a stand still. I don't recall riding side by side in one lane being legal, but I may be confusing it too AZ where at the time it was not legal and I rode there a lot. CO is legal riding side by side in one lane? I thought that was illegal here.
