Re: [emrat:7955] Re: 2016 Bonneville line announced

Hmm...I like the Street Twin and the Thruxton.  The T120 black looks hideous, though.  Like somebody just took a rattle can of black primer to a nice looking bike.  I guess I can understand if you have an old POS bike, you might just rattlecan it black to cover up the rust and faded paint but to me starting off with the "junkyard apocalypse" look makes about as much sense as taking a ball peen hammer to the tank to give it some "authentic" looking dents.

I think it would have looked a lot better if they'd done like they did with the old Bonnie Black and put a gloss black tank and fenders on it - Shiny black looks good on a bike but flat black just makes it look unfinished.

Yeah, Yeah, I know that's what the kids are into these days but I swear whenever I see a bike painted in primer black or primer gray I think "Nice primer.  When are you going to get around to PAINTING it?"

I love the retro pancake air cleaner look like on the Pre 1970 models. I would be interested in upgrading to the T120 but not too thrilled about the two 2tone color choices but the Bonnie Black in Graphite don't look too shabby :o)

Very interested in riding the new t120, don't really care for the styling on the street twin, and still deciding on the thruxton redesign. Something with the the flow of the bike doesn't seem right, maybe its the tank indent. But it could just be bad pics. Definitely will have to see these in person.
