I took the long...long...long way home to Denver today. Just shy of 400 miles over the North Rim, McClure Pass, Independence Pass and down into Buena Vista. Hwy 285 back to the city...traffic was very light all the way from Montrose to Denver. A nice cool ride until after coming over Kenosha Pass. Riding in the city getting to the house was‎ a torture in the heat.

I brought back some sweet Olathe corn...just had some for dinner...it was really very tasty... :-)

The Warfields made it home okay too. Hwy 285 was bad all the way from Johnson Village at 11:30 am. Next year I'll take an extra vacation day and ride home on Monday. The ride was otherwise pretty good, and Andrea had a blast going up Monarch pass. WEEEEEEE!

 

Glad to have ridden and spent time with so many great people this weekend. See you again soon, but will probably miss the August meeting due to work travels.

Got back myself around 5;15 , now I know why we have been staying to Monday past years,  traffic was awful from Fairplay to Pine Junction.

After a fun and eventful weekend, Erica and I back home and relaxing.   Saw some of you parked at the Jefferson Camp Store and you might have heard the <meep><meep> of a bike horn.  Stopping for fudge before making the 15mph crawl up Kenosha pass? 

 

Just wanted to thank everyone for a fun time!  Now to order some parts... :-)
