No doubt the Tigers throw off heat from the right side but I am only bothered by it when I'm riding and not wearing proper gear. On my rides to the shop I typically wear jeans and on hot days jogging traffic in the city it is noticeable. When riding and wearing proper gear it's not an issue as quality gear has a heat shield on the inner side of the pants. As Steve said, if you go really fast you do get a definite cooling factor...

Hello all you Tiger 800 and 800 XC riders out there. This morning I took a test ride on an 800 and was loving it until about half way through the ride when I began to feel like my right leg was on fire. Lots of heat emanating from the triple. Have any of you confronted this issue?
