Thanks Bob, that's great information!  We are headed south in March, my guess is we will trailer to Phoenix or Yuma or such (since we have jobs and weather can be unpredictable) then head south.  I read a bit of stuff on adv, it looks like the best place to cross the border it Tecate.  Our plan (interesting word, that) is to ride to Cabo and turn around and ride back.  We are feeling the need for a playa!  Is southern Baja still in the free zone?  I recollect something about it's not?  Unless you have a better idea, we are open to suggestions.  Regarding the gringo/gringa estupida, why would we change just because we cross a border???  :D
