Thanks Dan,  While I've bought bikes no older than 5 years, so less risk than one parted out, the article does highlight one of my points, you can make a new friend somewhere else.  Thanks for the article.

Reading this article made me think of Norm Wright's presentation last Tuesday night at our EMRAT meeting.  Except for his Bonneville's transmission problem, his purchases have all gone well.
