[emrat:6513] 3rd Annual Chuck Ferrari Memorial Ride, Sunday 3/15/15 - Restaurant suggestions?

Hi everybody,

Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the last RAT meeting, I was fighting the tail end of a nasty cold.

Anyway, it's that time of the year again and it looks like Mother Nature will be cooperating (Knock wood!)  Current weather forecast for Sunday, March 15th is Sunny with highs in the low 70s!  So it looks like the 3rd Chuck Ferrari Memorial ride is a "go!"

I am still trying to put together the exact route but it looks like we will have a somewhat late start (around 10:00 AM) and we should be in Pueblo by around noon.  To that end, can anyone recommend a biker-friendly restaurant somewhere in or near Pueblo?  I have to admit I'm not that familiar with Pueblo so I'm not sure what would be good.

Since we will be heading South I'd like to start off in Sedalia at the Sedalia Grille (or for those who've lived in this area since the 1970's, the old Johnson's Corner) at the intersection of US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) and CO Highway 67 (Deckers Road.)  We'll head down to Palmer Lake via 105 and then jump onto the Interstate through Colorado Springs, jumping off at Nevada/CO 115 to Penrose, and then turning East on US 50 into Pueblo.

The plan is to have lunch and then head over to the Pueblo Weisbrod Air Museum located East of Pueblo near the airport.  I'm in the process of trying to arrange a museum tour.  The museum opens up at 1 pm (1300 hrs) so that's why I plan on eating lunch first.  After the museum we can all head home on our own or in a group, whichever people prefer.

As with the previous rides, this will be a fund raiser for the Colorado Humane Society, which was one of Chuck's favorite organizations.  Feel free to donate whatever you wish.  I'll be collecting the donations and turning them in on Monday the 16th.  You can bring cash or a check made out to the Colorado Humane Society.

Once I have more details I'll post them but I wanted to get this out there now.

See you on Sunday!

Martin
