Hello,
Sunday morning ride time is here!(April 19th) I don't know about you, but I have been looking forward to this day all winter. Meeting up with fellow riders and checking out their new riding gear or accessories that they have added in the off season. Talking about bikes, planning trips or a track day is something I look forward to all winter long. This year I would like to mix up the type of rides we offer in order to cater to the Touring, Adventure, Sport and Curser riders alike. This first ride I am calling "the shake down ride" (shaking out the cob webs and getting back into the mindset of riding). I planned a route that is familiar to many of us with a few stops along the way. The first stop will be in Black Hawk (third stop light make a left first parking lot on the right), so we can regroup before heading up the Peak to Peak. Leaving Black Hawk, we will travel up Highway 119 and cross Golden Gate Canyon road. If you want to leave the group, this is a fun twisty ribbon that takes you back to Golden. Many of you may remember there is a gas station on the right side of the peak to peak heading to Nederland, this is our second stop (gas up if you need it). Leaving the gas station our next destination will be Nederland. On the way to the Whistler or New moon café, you can leave the group by making a right down Coal Creek
Canyon (Highway 72). Just remember to use the second left when pulling into the parking lot (the first left is the ill marked exit). Once in Nederland you can decide if you want to continue down the Boulder Canyon Drive to Boulder, or continue up towards Estes or Lyons. We look forward to you joining us on this great Rocky Mountain ride!
P.s. Please remember to fuel up the night before. Pasting the link below into you browser will allow you to print up a map of the ride. We will meet at the Butcher Block Café(38th and Brighton) 8:00 a.m. for breakfast side stand up at 9:00 a.m.
If you haven't you can also sign up on Erico's Facebook under events.
