Wayne,
Denise added a tooth on the front of her Tiger and I dropped 3 on the rear to lower the RPM at highway speeds.

The old dirtbike saw was 1 down in the front = 4 up in the rear; with the price of sprockets and chains nowadays, I think I would opt for the countershaft sprkt first! By the way, is that your FJ on CL for Motorad?
CPT Bob; didn't Denise drop a tooth on the front on her Tiger 800? Wayne E.

The gearing makes a lot of seance.Mine felt like a slug on acceleration out of corners.l do remember dropping one tooth on the counter-shaft on my 03 Speed Triple, which made a major difference on launch control. Thanks Bob for the info

----Steven,I ran the tire pressure pre the owners manual. If I remember correctly it is 38 on the front and 42 on the rear.I did change the counter sprocket down one tooth. OEM is 19 / 43 and I was running 18 / 43. By dropping a tooth on the front is gave my Sprint a lot more umfh in the canyons.CPT BobFrom: Steve Farrow-reidSent: Tuesday, January 21, 2014 7:37 PMSubject: [emrat:3776] Sprint ST topics--Capt.BobWhat tire pressures did you run on your 04 Sprint ST?The owners manuel says 42 psi for both front and rear, which l personally feel is on the high side.Lastly, did you change the gearing (sprocket sizes) on yours.Asking because the differance in ratios between fith and sixth gears appear vastly differant.Sixth gear in the canyons makes the bike drive like a semi truck, and your look all over the switch pod for the the "Jake Break"!Thanks in advance.E-Steve
