Both Denise and I aren't using the OEM hard bags for most of the reasons Sean has stated.
Denise has the Givi Trekker Side hard bags and I have the SW-MOTECH TraX EVO hard bags. We both use the SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO side carriers which were designed by a genius. The system is easy to mount on a motorcycle and work with multiple hard bags.
