I checked the valves again in 20 degree cooler weather (it was over 90 in my garage when I checked the other day), and they are just at or only very slightly over the max spec. Checking the valves is actually pretty easy given you're not afraid of removing your fuel tank. I think I'm just going to button it up and check again in 5-10k and see if they've drifted one way or another.
I mean we could even check someones valves in a parking garage if people wanted to see how easy it is (if they have a center stand). Pulling the cams you'd probably want a clean home garage though ;-)--
