Hi Friends,
I want to invite you to the following neighborhood events with Mayor Michael B. Hancock:
Tuesday, August 7, 2012 – “National Night Out”
This year the Department of Safety and its member agencies have formed a collaborative effort with the Mayor’s Office, Denver City Council, State elected officials, neighborhood businesses, civic organizations and non-profit groups to assist communities in hosting “National Night Out” (NNO) events on Tuesday evening, August 7, 2012.
National Night Out is a unique safety and community event created to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in a fight for a safer nation. www.natw.org
There will be several neighborhood event sights in Denver. This year, in addition to supporting NNO, we are encouraging the event sites to collect donations of school supplies for the upcoming school year to support youth living in some of our most vulnerable communities.
We hope that you will join us in our efforts to combat crime by donating school supplies for young people in need. Please take some time to show support for your neighborhood and join us to engage in stronger relationships with each other and our local law enforcement partners! Mayor Hancock will visit three of the event sites listed below. Please find your local Neighborhood NNO event site if you cannot attend the ones below.
