Agree.  The moisture actually held off for a little while today (but definitely eventually came in).  I was watching the clouds build while on a long run on the Santa Fe trail.  They filled in south of Monument past Pikes Peak and started to look like they would OD around 11:30 am.  They did not blow up however and even dissipated a little bit until the storm later in the afternoon.  I was quite windy (N) near I-25 from northern COS to Monument.  We’ll see what tomorrow holds.

 

Clarification about the start time tomorrow especially with the Denver contingent coming down:  As soon as we’re done flying everyone is welcome immediately at the house.  I just threw out 4 pm time as an estimate if people couldn’t fly, needed to run home, etc.  Everyone is welcome whenever.  I’ll send out an e-mail when we’re leaving Monument with an ETA to the house in case people are only coming to the party.  Crystal, Mikes, and Parke are also doing the hike up/down.

Ok weather is looking good for a flight tomorrow before the moisture sets in and things start to blow up.  Should be a very nice window for flying with favorable winds.

 

We will be in the LZ no later than 9:00 am ready to drive up to the trail head.  Betsy and Tatiana will be hiking up/down so they will be able to shuttle my Outback.

 

Not sure what freq you guys usually use but maybe we should use Lookout freq (158.400 DCS code 023) since there will be a bunch of us "northerners" coming down for the *FUN*.
