CDHS Tours State to Solicit Input on 2013-14 Departmental Strategic Plan
As many of you may remember, CDHS traveled the state last year soliciting input from nearly 1,000 community partners, stakeholders and staff on the development of the Department's strategic plan. From this input, the Department identified six key strategic initiatives, and an overarching strategic plan that incorporated measurable deliverables from each Office within the Department.
Over the past year, the Department has taken a number of steps to implement the plan, and in several cases completed items listed in the plan. However, it is now time, once again, to visit your communities to provide an update on where we are as a Department, what we've done over the last year, and our vision for the future and next year's strategic plan.
The Department's Executive Leadership Team cordially invites you to attend any one of a series of meetings scheduled July 26 - 31. Your input, ideas and suggestions are paramount to our mutual success, so please plan on attending one of the scheduled meetings. However, if your schedule does not permit in-person attendance at one of the July meetings, we will, again this year, be providing the opportunity for feedback via our Web site. Beginning August 1, we will provide the presentation and feedback loop at www.colorado.gov/cdhs. This will be in place for one week, followed by the draft of the strategic plan which will be posted August 15, and open for comment for one week. On September 1, we will be presenting to the Governor's Office the final of the Department's 2012 - 13 Strategic Plan. Later this year, we will also post this final version on the Department's web site.
Attached please find the schedule of the community meetings, which will be held in 13 Colorado cities beginning July 26. You are welcome and encouraged to bring family, friends, co-workers, colleagues and partners to any of the meetings. We look forward to your insights and ideas, as well as to reconnecting at one of the meetings.
