To all:

 

Here is the final pre-ride update for those interested in the Black Hills Rally.

 

Those that I think are going are:

 

RAT Members:

Norm Wright

Jay Clawson

Bob Tapper

Curtis Graves (On Saturday)

Dave Warfield (meet on Sunday @ Devils Tower in WY)

Rick Eckl & bro (On Monday)

 

Others:

Vince Lane

Tim McLaughlin

Trevor Young

You should make reservations at the Creeekside Campground in advance, $15/night, 3 night minimum.  It costs more without the advance reservation.

 

We will meet this Friday the 3rd at Johnson's Corner Truck Stop, Exit 254 off I-25 north of Longmont at 9:00 AM for 9:15-(:20) departure, earlier if all are assembled and gassed.

 

The mail group will leave on Tuesday to return to Denver, hopefiully by the time of the RAT meeting

 

We have 3 major options for the route up and democracy will rule that AM.

 

1. US 34 East to Greeley, US 85 North to Lead, SD and on into Sturgis

 

2. North on I-25 to Cheyenne and pick up US 85

 

3. I-25 North to Chugwater , WY 313 East to US 85.

 

4. I-25 north to Exit 92, US 26 East to US 85  (west of Torrington)

 

An option for any of these is to go thru Edgemont, SD on US 18 to US385 through Custer and Hill City

 

As you progress from option 1 to 4, the travel time decreases due to "Slab Time" but it is less scenic and fun.

 

Lunch at an appropriate time, probably in Torrington
