Finally, I am leaving Taos on Sunday and was toying with the idea of taking an extra day to get back home. I may join you as long as the route is 'Thruxton friendly'!

First off, sorry I was unable to be at last night's meeting, I had some things at home to take care of.
Second, I will be going to Taos, so if anyone is looking for a roomie, to double up with, let me know. I'm fine staying at either the Kachina or the Best Western across the street.
Third, as usual, I'm going to stay out an extra day, but not sure of the route I will take back, of course anyone is welcome to join me. Last year I had a great ride back through the Unaweep canyon scenic road with the Chuck Ferrari and his friend Jeff. It was a great ride and one I'll always treasure (still miss you, Chuck!)
I'll have to pull out the map to see what roads I haven't ridden up that way, maybe the Million Dollar Highway (US 550) to Montrose and then the "back way" behind Black Canyon, then up and over Grand Mesa before heading home.
Manny, if you need me to lead any part of the trip down, I'd be happy to do so.

Last night at the meeting we were looking for volunteers to lead a ride down to Taos on Friday September 7th. As I recall, the route options are pretty slim to get us down there in a day, but I'll see what I can come up with. More details on meeting point and route to come!
