As a clarification to a prior email, please note that as the result of a problem with publication of the public notice, the Denver Landmark Preservation Commission has moved a public hearing previously slated for Tuesday, Nov. 6th at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, November 20th at 1:00 p.m. This public hearing is for the Commission to consider adopting a policy pertaining to defining “a landmark structure” and a “historic district” for purposes of landmark designation applications. Additional information on the public hearing is provided in the attached notice.
Please note, that the Landmark Preservation Commission will STILL have a presentation and discussion on the proposed policy on November 6, 2012, 1:00 p.m. You are welcome to provide public comment at both the November 6th and November 20th Landmark Preservation Commission meetings – both meetings are at 1:00 p.m. You can also email me any comments/letters and I will share them with the Commission. The Commission meets at the Welton Webb Municipal Building, 201 W. Colfax Avenue, Room 4.F.6 .
We have provided updated information on the policy (you can download it) and the other proposed landmark ordinance process changes at: http://www.denvergov.org/cpd/CPDHome/HistoricPreservation/tabid/429948/Default.aspx including information on upcoming public meetings/hearings.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thanks.
