Re: [emrat:3072] Re: Funeral Escort for a fallen member of RMMRC and Air Force Veteran

Sean,

Yes, condolences from me as well.  I could not stop thinking about what a sad, tragic incident.  Sorry I could not make it this morning.  Some Fridays would be okay to be a bit late for such a good cause but not this week.

Hope there is a huge turnout.

Doc,

Thanks! We just got the details ourselves yesterday, so I sent it out as quickly as I could.  Not sure why the late notice, but probably had to coordinate with Ft. Logan for the color guard ceremony and with the police for the escort.

Wish I could get away on a Friday short notice. What a tragic story of another fallen fellow biker. I send well wishes to his family and condolences. Didn't know Chris, though the name sounds familiar, and I hope it is a great turnout for the escort.

Hi folks,

I realize that most of you don't know Chris Spanos.  He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Riders Club that my wife Sara and I also ride with.   I also realize that with your work and family schedules, that most can not attend on a week day.

But, if you are able to get away, and would be willing to help us out, we would like to have a good showing for the motorcycle escort ride, to lay Chris to rest at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.

The details for the arrangements are below.  Chris' family and RMMRC would like to express gratitude in advance, to any EMRAT Member who would be able to attend and participate in the escort ride.

Thanks!

Attention all RMMRC Club Members,

Below are the details for Chris Spanos funeral arrangements.  Both the family and the club request the presence and support of all of our RMMRC members in honoring Chris Spanos and in paying our respects, to our dear friend and fallen club member.

RMMRC is deeply honored to be riding along with Chris' family,  as a tribute to Chris, who is one of our longest termed members and a great friend to the club. We will be riding to the cemetery site in Ft. Logan for the interment ceremony and then returning to the Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton, for the memorial service.

This ride will have a police escort to the site at Ft. Logan National Cemetary and will be following the family limousine.   The ride will be lead by our Honorary Ride Captain and Club President Steve Jones, and our Safety Director Roy Blakney will serve as the ride sweep.

The Club will gather at 8:00AM on Friday, October 25th at 8:00AM, at the Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton, where further details and instructions will be provided.

While we are aware that some members will not be able to attend a weekday ride, RMMRC implores all club members, who are able to, to please join us for this ride.

Regards,

- Sean Donnelly
