Gold on Black (Who Dat?!) is a British bike tradition, with Norton's, AJS, Velocette all coming to mind. The funny thing is that I can't think of any Meridan Triumphs in that combination. Rich "British Bike Bible" Hansen would know, I'm sure.

Congrats on the new bike! Is there a happier time than riding a new bike for the first time? I can't think of one.
I like the Black and Gold theme, too, but its because I'm a CU alum. I'll be at the game tomorrow. Maybe get a short ride in on Sunday.

Thanks, looking forward to it. Now I will have a cush ride, and a take a fast corner ride. Been dragging the foot peg a bit riding the America on the twisties. The 2014 model is also going up about 400 bucks and Erico is giving me a good deal on the 2013. Hard to pass it up. Besides it's Black and Gold like my New Orleans Saints!
