Glad you made it back safely. Great to see you again too! Let’s not make it 2 years before we ride again.
Great to see you again Doc! Congrats on your "record time". Norm and I hung around Sturgis as the weather up toward the Stone House was stormy. Sat on the rail at One Eyed Jacks with a beer and watched the show go by. Also went to the "Beaver Bar" complex directly across from Full Throttle. Sat in the rocking chairs along the fence and watched the bikes go by. Watched the girls ride the mechanical bull. An easy but good day. Came back Dan's route. cops south of Scott's Bluff. Hot from Ft. Morgan thru Denver. Excellent rally!

Made it home yesterday. Record time too. I took me 61/2 hours. Even going through Wyoming I averaged 75-80 MPH. Saw 3 officers of the law only, and they were not until Lusk for the first one just after town. And I was speeding 15 miles over the limit and he just passed me by. The other 2 were around Torrington. One in town and one right out of town. So the going was easy. Wind was fierce after that until Denver but still managed a high speed almost all the way.
I had a great time again with all for the Sturgis Rally. Thanks everyone for a great time! I owe a couple of beers to some of you.

Check this out—this would be a great thing for Colorado to adopt.

For those of you who have never ridden in the Black Hills, you can take a virtual ride on some of the most scenic roads.
For those of you who have attended the Sturgis Rally but did not have a GoPro (which I think is all of us but let’s hope Jay Clawson soon acquires one), the virtual rides are an amazing reminder of what it’s like to ride up there.
The Norris Peak Road, for example, is one of the most technical—and dangerous—roads. We rode it north-to-south on Saturday and south-to-north on Sunday. And I confess to one “uh-oh” moment. On one right-hand curve, you come face to face with two fatality signs side-by-side just off the road. That’s a sobering reality moment.
Here’s one way to keep track of the Rally:
