Please take note of the attached flyer about a FREE safeTALK Suicide Alertness Training on Friday, October 26th, 2012 from 8:30-11:30 at the Jefferson County Schools Educational Building (#27) on the 3rd Floor in Classrooms 3A & 3B, 1829 Denver West Drive, Golden, CO 80401. 

 

This training is open to anyone providing in Clear Creek, Gilpin, and Jefferson Counties...including (but not limited to) parents, foster families, community representatives, healthcare staff, social services, mental health workers, law enforcement, school personnel, emergency responders, and faith based organizations. 

 

Please feel free to share this informational flyer with anyone who might benefit from this training or be interested in attending.  Seating is limited.

The safeTALK Suicide Alertness Training is a 3 hour training that deals openly with the stigma around suicide and prepares participants to become more aware of suicide prevention opportunities in their community. As a suicideTALK-informed session member, you will be better able to: understand how personal and community beliefs about suicide affect suicide stigma and safety; appreciate how the steps taught in ¬safeTALK can be used to help prevent suicide;  choose among ways to help protect, preserve and promote life in a suicide-safer community.
