[CPN] BoL/ToL Volunteer Interest.Community

Hello!

Denver Botanic Gardens has volunteer opportunities in December that we think your members would enjoy! Could you help us get the word out about these events, by posting flyers, adding word to your bulletin, or otherwise reaching out to your members? You’ll find information and links to sign up below, or interested folks can contact us at vol@botanicgardens.org for more info.

We hold two events, each of which runs every night from November 30th through January 1st. I’ve also attached flyers with more information. This year, every volunteer shift completed earns a chance to win a free Gardens’ membership!

Blossoms of Light

Embrace the holiday season at Blossoms of Light, at our central York Street location. Over one million colorful lights draped in elegant designs highlight the Gardens’ winter beauty. Romantic and popular kissing spots will return, as well as the ever-popular HoloSpex glasses. Enjoy warm drinks and tasty treats, while seasonal entertainment will be available on select evenings. Thousands of lights in our amphitheater are synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes.

Each night we need 11 volunteers, so grab a group of your friends and sign up! Shifts run from 4:45-9:45. Please use the link below to sign up.

Time Commitment:

Shifts are available every night from November 30th - January 1st from 4:45-9:45PM.

Positions:

Volunteers will be assigned positions as they arrive for their shift. Most positions will be outside, so dress accordingly!

Training Requirements:

Training will be onsite, the day of the event and be geared towards each individual volunteer position.

Trail of Lights

Is held at our Chatfield location at C-470 and Wadsworth. With the foothills as a stunning backdrop, more than one million twinkling lights illuminate a winding path through the Colorado countryside. Spread throughout Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, Trail of Lights offers visitors a choice of paths; a shorter route takes visitors directly to the children’s play area, while an extended path allows visitors to explore the Green Farm Barn and silo before continuing onto the children’s area and 1880s homestead. New this year, an ice-skating rink will add to the fun!

Time Commitment:

Shifts are available every night from November 30th - January 1st from 5:15-9:30 PM.

Positions:

All four positions are available nightly.

·         (2) Hildebrand Ranch House Volunteers, who will welcome visitors, monitor the house, and share the history of the site.

·         (1) Children’s Craft Volunteer

·         (1) Ice Skating Rink Volunteer

Training Requirements:

Training will be onsite, the day of the event and be geared towards each individual volunteer position.
