Mi Casa Resource Center is recruiting for a Career and Technology Education Coordinator. A summary of the position is below and the job description is attached. POSITION SUMMARY

The Neighborhood Center at North High School is designed to provide children, youth, and families with needed community services and to transform a public school into a neighborhood center of opportunity, service, and safety for entire families.  The program focuses on the following core areas: Academic Success, STEM Learning, Life Skills and Career Readiness, and Service Learning.

 

The Career and Technology Education Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for coordinating our career and technology educational programs at the Mi Casa Neighborhood Center at North High School. The programs focus on preparing youth for the 21st Century workforce by providing both soft skills and hard skills training. Soft skills career readiness training includes life skills, career mapping, intensive job-search assistance, financial literacy instruction, and hands-on career exploration opportunities. Our hard skills training is the Digital Connectors program, a 9-month leadership and technology training program for youth aged 15 to 19. This program helps participants develop in-depth technology and digital literacy skills, explore careers in information technology and digital media, and share their expertise with the community through service learning projects that help close the digital divide.
