Yeah, that is exactly what Dan Ballard of Bitch Stitchn does as well, though I believe he also designs custom seats. I have had 3 seats in to Dan, my wife Sara has had 2. So I can vouch for his work.
I did find the card I was looking for, actually I found 2. The guy you are thinking about in Ft Colins may be Steve Gowing 617 Princeton Rd. Fort Collins, CO 80525 (970) 581-7351
The other card I have is for Alex West of GoWestSteats www.gowestseats.com, but I am not sure where she is located. No address.
I don't have any first hand experience wit either Alex or Steve.
