First, my order of fish-and-chips was indeed ready! And I’m grateful for every biker at GB Fish and Chips paying attention and being concerned about my lack of food!
We were looking for English Steve and Norm, but obviously did not see you guys at either place.
Attached is a photo of the Crash 45 scene. There were quite a few modern Triumphs present, but not a single vintage British bike that I could find.
I actually surprised myself last night, going through urban neighborhoods that I’ve never seen before, so that was enjoyable. And we met some nice people and admired some very cool bikes, many of them custom café racer creations. All in all, a lot of fun. Kind of a two-wheeled version of First Friday for the arts crowd.
As for my rear tire, Bob, it’s OK. It was just urban grit in the center of the rear tire that led you to conclude that the cord was showing. I’ll tell you sometime my story of post-Sturgis touring of the Little Big Horn Battlefield in southeastern MT and returning to my Speed Triple and discovering that I had really worn the tire down to the cord. At first, I could not remember riding through any white paint that day . . . .

Last night was a good time. Between Crash 45 and GB Fish & Chips there were a good number of bikes. It's too bad GB has initiated this conflict but oh well. As I said, I'm a supporter of Shane at Crash and like the scene there better.
Hey Dan, what is the status of your rear tire...was I imagining things? Does happen...hahaha Oh, and Dan...your order is ready!!! Hahaha
