Well I guess I will chime in and give my 2 cents worth regarding the mileage...16K miles on a 2009 in my opinion is nothing to be concerned about. I have 22K+ miles on my 2010 T100 and it runs as strong, if not stronger, when it did with far less miles. 3,000 miles a year on a T100 is pretty minimal mileage. I wouldn't give it a second thought as long as the bike was maintained properly.
Yes, the Bonnies were well documented with having valve cover leaks. Mine started weeping around 3,500 miles and it was repaired/replaced under warranty. Since Foothills has the service records, I would verify this has been done because if not, ultimately it will start to leak. The rear brakes do wear out faster than the fronts if you use them a lot. I am an 80/20 breaker using the front brake and or engine breaking. I wore out my first set of rear pads very quickly when I first got my T100....after that experience I modified my breaking habits and all has been good since.
You will want to consider changing the front and rear suspension because the stock set up simple sucks. There are some great alternatives out there to consider and your T100 will handle much better and the front end dive can be cured. Then of course you have performance mod's you can do to open up the engine and get much improved throttle response and power to the rear wheel.
These Bonnies are pretty much bullet proof with minimal maintenance and they will provide you with a lot fun miles with lots of smiles. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with me.

Hello to all, this is my first time posting in here. I have only gone to one of your meetups, but that was mostly due to not having a bike.--Tomorrow I am going to go test drive and possible buy a 2009 Triumph Bonneville t100 and wanted to ask a few questions to those in the know. It is at Foothills triumph / bmw in Lakewood. They have all the service records for the bike, and it looks great.First real question: It has 16K miles on it. That doesn't sound like a lot to me, but I have never bought a used bike before. Is that a lot, and is there anything I should look out for? What is your experiences with Foothills? They seem great, but that of course is from only one experience talking to a sales guy about a bike I already really like. Here is a link to some quick phone pics I took while looking at it.This is going to be my first real bike and am quite excited about it, but I wanted to get the real deal from people who ride these already. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys give me.- Tavis
