Subject: Red Rock Canyon Draft Plan Ready for Review

I want to remind everybody that, as promised, the Red Rock Canyon Draft Master Plan has been posted on the City's web site and is ready for your review. Please visit the City's web site at www.springsgov.com/RRC.

 

We are providing two ways for you to provide us your responses to the Plan. You may either send comments by e-mail to sbryarly@springsgov.com, or attend a public Open House on Oct. 24 and provide your comments then. The Open House will be from 5 to 7 p.m. (please note that this is a departure from our usual time) at the Westside Community Center, 1628 W. Bijou St.

 

Deadline for all comments is Oct. 24^th. As a participant in the public process, you're aware that the Plan reflects the ideas and concerns of many people and seeks to balance a number of diverse interests.

 

We will thoroughly review all comments and make adjustments to the Draft Plan as necessary. Next steps in the process include a TOPS Working Committee review of the Plan, and then on to the Parks Advisory Board for review and approval. You are welcome to attend each of those meetings and will receive an e-mail about the date, time and place of each.

 

Thanks again for your time and contributions to the Red Rock Canyon Master and Management Plan. Your willingness to participate has made a difference in the long-term future of this spectacular public asset.
