Subject: CPIN: PRESS--PBS Channel 12, Refugee Populations featured tonight from 7-8
Dear Service Providers,
We have an exciting event happening TONIGHT! At one of our previous service provider meetings, we showed you some videos done by the Denver Women's Commission where they did profiles on Female African Refugees. Well those videos will be highlighted on the Tamara Bank's show on PBS channel 12 tonight! It will be a LIVE CALL IN show from 7-8pm.
People interviewed will be our very own Jamie Torres, from the Agency for Human Rights and Community Relations, Fadumo Adan who is one of the African Refugee Women profiled, and they will also have call-ins from Jennifer Gueddiche--the Executive Director of the African Community Center. Please plan to watch it, DVR-it, and/or call in to comment or ask a question. This is an exciting opportunity for exposure for our communities.

Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).
