What did Dan do this time? I think he's fresh out of shoulders to ruin.

I already posted on Facebook but for those not on FB, I wanted to say again, "Thanks" to the EMRATs for coming out and supporting the Colorado Humane Society and honoring Chuck's memory.
After a chilly morning, and a technical glitch that caused Sean and Sara to have to drop out at the start, the weather warmed up nicely and it was an absolutely gorgeous ride.
Hopefully the rest of you found something interesting at the three sites we visited! As I said on the ride, my mind is a junk drawer filled with useless bits of trivia and it's not often that I get to inflict it on an audience!
Except for Dan's mishap in the parking lot, everything went great, and I think we all had a good time. To be honest, the roads to the Northeast aren't quite as scenic as the ones through the Black Forest but they do have their own charm. They also have their own distinctive aroma, as I think we all found!
Finally, the tally: Last year, if I recall, we had 22 bikes total and raised about $270 total, I believe (I may have to go back through my emails to check.) This year, with 13 showing up at the start and 11 making the ride (plus my wonderful wife Liz following in her car), we collected $400 to donate to the Colorado Humane Society! So good going, RATs!!
Anyway, thanks again for coming out and honoring our friend while supporting a great cause. It was a pleasure and an honor to be the "ride captain" for today's ride!
Martin
PS: I'll try to figure out if I can post a public link to my Dropbox so people can access the photos.

Re: [emrat:4282] Chuck Ferrari Memorial Ride...
Perhaps Dan was simply honoring one of the things Chuck was famous for...dropping his 900 pound bike doing slow maneuvers (u-turns) in the parking lot! Way to keep that memory alive, Dan!
