Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).

Dear Friend of Centro San Juan Diego,

Buying a house is an essential element of the American dream. Hundreds of thousands of young Hispanic immigrants have been able to come out of the shadows by receiving conditional immigration status through the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Many of them may not know that they are able to establish credit and buy a house.

Centro San Juan Diego, in collaboration with Community Resources & Housing Development Corp. (CRHDC), is going to offer a Home Buyer Orientation Workshop on Saturday, March 22 at 10:00 AM at Centro located at 2830 Lawrence Street. This Workshop will include important information on how it is possible for DACA recipients to buy a house. Please see the attached promotional flyer and help us get the word out! Thank you, in advance, for your support.

Juan Carlos
