Annual Denver Neighborhood Conference

This free-to-attend Neighborhood Conference focuses on partnering and working with City government, strategies for developing and strengthening neighborhood organizations, looking at ways to travel in the City without a car and sharing neighborhood concerns and solutions.

• Welcome by Mayor Hancock
• Keynote Speaker: Michael Smith, Trends in Community/Government
Relations
• General Session: Views on Neighborhood Involvement In The Government's
Planning Process (Panel presentation)
• Concurrent workshops follow a short break.
Workshop examples: Building Leaders & Growing Neighborhoods, Impact of Our
Aging Population on the City, Getting Around Without a Car, Working with City
Council.
Parking: Free Parking until 2:00pm. at the Cultural Center Garage, 65 W. 12th Ave. (Next to the Denver Art Museum). A voucher will be given at the conference to be able to exit the garage at no cost. Free handicapped parking access next to the Webb Building. Carpooling and light rail is encouraged.
