That's why I suggested the clutch lever switch. I like to keep mine close to the bars, but have run into this with both the V-Strom and the Thruxton. Just let them out a click and it was fine.

No, more of a user error to be honest. I replaced the levers myself with shorties and didn't do the adjustment properly. Not Triumphs fault in the least.

Triumph quality control at its finest!--We had a situation with our Street Triple where it would only start in Neutral, regardless of whether or not the kickstand was up or down. The problem ended up being an issue with the clutch switch.- SeanOn Mar 11, 2014, at 11:11 AM, Phil Lombana <PhilL@ericomotorsports.com> wrote:This sounds like a potential problem with your side-stand switch. Not sure what happened, or if I'll have problems down the road, but that's where I'm at.ps - I have no idea where my kill switch is, or even if I have one. :)On Mon, Mar 10, 2014 at 11:25 AM, Dan Pilcher <dpilcher@cochamber.com> wrote:I'll confess to accidentally hitting the kill switch at different times and then wondering why the bike will not start!
One precaution that I take prior to washing a bike is to put black electrical tape over the ignition keyhole, just to make sure that no water gets into the ignition switch. I think I learned that trick from Peter Sharp . . .
